When it comes to 80s horror, classics abound. The decade is rich with it. Sure, there are plenty of entire movies or scenes that didn't age well, even among my own favorites, but overall there's a vibe that no other decade has been able to really meet. The shock value of the 90s and the envelope pushing of the 2000s have nothing on the punk vibes of 80s horror.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons to enjoy poetry. Spring has its darlings, for sure, but there's just something about the melancholy, the macabre, and the meaningful that impact fall poems. Anything from Poe to Oliver comes to mind, and of course the fact that it's my favorite season might have something to do with it.
